Amenities Prove Popular At Bellway’s Fast-Selling Avedis Development
Published On :
Living within easy reach of local amenities is one of the main attractions for those searching for their next home. Having a choice of shops and things to do locally, came seventh in a recent GoCompare survey1 of buyer’s wish lists, beating more traditional features, such as a dining room. The research proved to be accurate for Bellway Homes’ latest development, Avedis in South Ruislip. At the former Arla Dairy site, the brand new homes have been snapped up and only two, two-bedroom apartments remain.
Bellway Homes is offering a perfect solution to house hunters seeking more leisure pursuits with a mix of 163 one, two and three bedroom apartments at the development. The site also includes a newly-opened Asda supermarket; a state-of-the-art 11-screen Cineworld multiplex, opening in June, and five family-themed restaurants for dining out, including Bella Italia, Frankie & Benny’s, Mimosa, Nandos and Chiquito.
Oliver Weston, Development Surveyor at Citygrove Securities, who developed the commercial site, comments: “This site was vacant for many years and needed to be regenerated around a new public realm, for the use of local people. We have been very happy with the swift construction of the retail and entertainment complex, and the progress of the whole development.
“It is great to see Asda now open on site and we are looking forward to seeing the cinema and restaurants opening their doors in the coming weeks, offering residents of Avedis and South Ruislip a host of new amenities to enjoy.”
Avedis, meaning ‘brings good news’, is becoming a popular and thriving place to live in West London, ideal for professionals, first-time buyers, and downsizers alike, looking for a modern property within convenient proximity of central London.
Kevin Bowles, Bellway North London Sales Manager, comments: “It is not just great homes that appeal to homebuyers, ensuring there are local shops and amenities is also a tremendous draw, as seen by the survey and here at Avedis. Our homes have been selling fast with house buyers queuing on launch days to secure a property here.
“We now only have two, two-bedroom apartments available, each offered with Help to Buy, so I urge those looking for a new home in the area, to come and see for themselves what Avedis has to offer before we sell out.”
Other work on site includes extensive landscaping for a central, open public piazza with seating and new off-road walking and cycling routes.
As with all Bellway developments, attention to detail is evident throughout the apartments at Avedis; demonstrated in everything from the choice of materials to the stylish integrated appliances in the kitchens and contemporary sanitaryware in the bathrooms. The Sapphire apartment type offers an open plan kitchen, living and dining area, a contemporary family bathroom and a terrace. It also includes a master bedroom with fitted wardrobes and an en suite, flooring throughout and allocated parking.
A selection of independent retailers, popular chain stores, cafés, bars and restaurants can also be found on Ruislip High Street and surrounding roads, all within a ten minute drive from the development. Other nearby facilities include two leisure centres encompassing a wealth of sporting opportunities including; tennis and netball courts, fitness and exercise studios, gyms, two swimming pools and a spa. Avedis is also just over a mile away to West London Golf Centre while Colne Valley Regional Park is six miles from the development, offering sailing, horse riding, wind surfing, canoeing and water skiing.
Commuters will find journeys a lot easier at Avedis, located just a few minutes’ walk from South Ruislip tube and rail station. From here, residents can benefit from the London Underground service on the Central line into the City, in less than 40 minutes. Chiltern Railway services also connect with Wembley Stadium and London Marylebone. If travelling by car, major roads nearby include the A40 for Hammersmith, central London and the City, the M25, and the M40 for Oxford and Birmingham.
