The EXANTE trading platform
EXANTE provides traders with direct market access to financial markets via their proprietary trading platform, the EXANTE trading platform. Traders can buy and sell 1,000,000+ assets, including equities, bonds, options, futures, metals, and currencies. The platform also has a network of 1,100 servers across the world to ensure the lowest latencies and safe data transfers.
Desktop and mobile compatibility
The EXANTE trading platform is compatible on every device. Traders can trade on the web, from a desktop Windows, macOS or Linux terminal, or from their iOS or Android smartphone. Trading from the browser is also available.
Features and trading tools
The EXANTE trading platform features consist of customisable panels that can be moved and marked up for the ease of the trader. Each of the modules performs a dedicated function. Below are the modules available:
- Instruments
Organised in a tree-like structure, all available instruments provided by the broker are gathered and grouped by type. Traders can navigate the tree by expanding its branches. They can also type in a few letters from the instrument’s name, ticker, exchange, ISIN or FIGI if they know what they are looking for.
- Click-Trade
Traders can use this module to create new trades quickly and easily, including placing limit orders. For those who wish to see more detailed options, they can select the Order module.
- Order
Traders can use this more detailed Order module by selecting the relevant instrument in the Instruments module and dragging it into the Order module. Unlike the Click-Trade module, traders can choose among even more order types and specify how they would like to execute the trades, including providing information on price, price change in absolute values, or number of pips (in integers).
- Basket Trader
This module allows traders to collect a portfolio of assets and jointly execute them as Market orders. Traders can specify the quantity for each of the instruments, and the side of trade (buy or sell). They can then set a multiplier for the basket’s overall volume, making it a convenient way to trade larger orders or multiples of instruments.
- Exchange
With this module, traders can take advantage of their multi-currency account setting and conveniently convert their funds from one currency to another. The bottom part of the module displays the conversion rate at the moment of exchange, so that traders are aware of it.
- Summary
The Summary module displays information concerning the trader account’s status. It includes positions, available funds, margin size, and Net Available Balance (NAV). This allows traders to view their account status at a glance, in one window. The module is available in compact and expanded views, depending on how much information they would like to see.
- Portfolio
This module allows traders to view and manage all open positions and all working orders, as it displays the primary information (instrument, position, average price, price, initial value, P&L, order direction, and status) of all open positions. Traders can also cancel all working orders from the Portfolio module.
- Margin Report
The Margin Report module allows traders to track their margin utilisation. Again, it has both compact and expanded views, depending on how much information a user may need.
- Orders
With this module, traders can view information about all the orders they have placed, whether the orders have been successfully executed or not. There is a great capacity for customisation in this window, as traders can sort and filter their orders by any column.
- Trade Blotter
The Trade Blotter module will come in handy for more advanced traders, as it displays information about all executed trades and transactions with sophisticated filters, such as time period, account, quantity, instrument, quantity, position side, commission, and the default currency of the underlying.
- Watchlists
Watchlists help traders keep track of the ask and bid prices along with the Up and Down price indicators for their chosen instruments. It functions much like a Favourite list, allowing traders to easily seize opportunities when they arise.
- Chart
The Chart module is one of the most useful and key tools among the trading platform’s features. It updates in real time and shows current market quotes, and traders can drag and drop instruments in this module to monitor them effectively.
Traders can also change the layout of the chart effortlessly – this includes adjusting the scale of the chart, switching between tick data if available, and charting timeframes. Finally, traders can select their preferred charting style, in the form of OHLC bars, candlesticks, or lines.
- Market Depth
The Market Depth module provides traders with a list of active limit orders. These orders are grouped by trading side and arranged by price, and traders can visualise their active orders and existing market conditions while they are planning their next move. Traders can also place orders quickly through this module by double-clicking on cells – but this function can be turned off in the platform settings.
- Option Board
Finally, EXANTE has an Option Board module, which is unique to its platform. The module is the main resource for analysing and trading options, of which the broker provides over 900,000. The module allows traders to track instruments and their market activity, and traders can copy and export the data to MS Excel to further analyse data. The Options Board is easily customisable, and EXANTE also provides metrics specific to options trading, such as the Greeks and Implied Volatility (IV), to help traders make informed decisions.
Other tools: Bond Screener, third-party applications
In addition, EXANTE offers a wide range of tools to enhance the trading experience regardless of user. These tools include built-in features like the Bond Screener, which enables traders to filter bonds based on their specific criteria. Moreover, EXANTE allows for seamless integration with third-party applications, empowering traders to develop their own personalised tools such as price alert messenger bots or innovative price discovery charting interfaces.
Installing and setting up the trading platform
EXANTE offers a straightforward installation and setup process for their trading platform. Traders simply need to download the setup file onto their device and initiate the installation of the platform. It is important to note that prior to this step, traders should have a registered account with EXANTE.
Customer support at EXANTE
Finally, EXANTE provides several channels of communication. Clients can reach out to the broker through phone, email, or online chat available on the EXANTE website or within the trader’s Client’s Area. Callback requests are fielded round-the-clock, and online chat is available in multiple languages.
The EXANTE customer support team is well-versed in both the financial markets and the broker’s product offerings, including its feature-rich trading platform. In fact, the team is known for their prompt responses, and they have received positive feedback for their professionalism on many forums and user-generated reviews.
