Atelier Residents Reap Rewards Of Top Performing New Town
Published On :
Originally built in 1947, this year, Harlow in Essex commemorates its 70th anniversary as a ‘new town’. According to research from Halifax, it is now one of the top performing new towns in the UK with house prices increasing by 52% over the last decade and by 461% since 1986[1]. Purchasers keen to reap the rewards of living in an area which is on the rise, should look no further than Atelier, Countryside and Home Group’s latest development in Harlow, Essex.
Atelier comprises a stylish collection of one and two-bedroom coach houses and two, three and four-bedroom houses, all available with the Government backed Help to Buy scheme. Located in Harlow, the world’s first sculpture town, the development is ideal for families, featuring striking contemporary architecture and landscaped garden squares, whilst enjoying excellent links into the capital.
Tanju Hussein, Associate Sales Director at Countryside Partnerships South comments: “Harlow has come a long way since its birth back in 1947 and is currently undergoing another huge regeneration. Along with our partner, Home Group, Countryside is proud to be re-developing the BCA estate in Harlow. As well as building new homes, we are also working on developing the neighbourhood which will include a brand-new community centre and plenty of open green space. Our first phase is proving very successful, so I recommend purchasers to register their interest soon to avoid disappointment. What’s more, many of these homes are ready to move into before Christmas!”
The Thurlow is a contemporary three-bedroom house, ideal for the modern-day family. Arranged over two floors, the home offers flexible, open plan spaces with the kitchen, dining and living area opening onto the rear garden via French doors. The home has been thoughtfully designed to maximise space featuring a useful utility cupboard under the stairs and a WC. On the first floor, the master bedroom is generously sized offering a fitted wardrobe. This floor also hosts a further two bedrooms and a family bathroom, featuring sleek, white sanitaryware with contemporary chrome accessories.
Harlow is surrounded by many sought after market towns and villages packed with quaint shops, pubs and restaurants, in the heart of London’s commuter belt. The town boasts the UK’s first pedestrian thoroughfare as well as an indoor mall, The Harvey Centre and a contemporary shopping centre, the Water Gardens, all offering a range of shops, restaurants and leisure facilities. Atelier is located next to The Aspire Academy Primary and Secondary School for children age 4-16 and the Stewards Academy Secondary School is just a short walk from the development.
For commuters into London, four trains per hour leave from Harlow Town to London Liverpool Street, with journey times from 31 minutes, while the town also serves as a regional bus hub for the area, with regular services to Epping tube station on the London Underground. Close to the M11, M25 and A414, Harlow is also well located for easy access to London, Bishops Stortford, Hertfordshire, Cambridge and Stansted Airport.
