Blockbuster Opening Weekend At Feature 17
Published On :
Last weekend, Countryside launched its blockbuster development in trendy Walthamstow, E17. Named Feature 17, the development embraces the cinematic history of the local area, with the marketing suite based around a silent movie theme, commemorating the former Victoria Picture Theatre in Walthamstow. For over a century, the venue has provided entertainment and culture to the area, including one of London’s first ever film showings in 1896, and later, hosting performances from musical legends such as The Beatles, The Rolling Stones, Johnny Cash and The Who.
The highly anticipated development is located at the heart of vibrant Walthamstow and comprises a contemporary collection of one, two and three-bedroom apartments, three-bedroom duplexes and three and four-bedroom houses. The homes are ideal for young professionals and families who would like to enjoy the lively creative scene, whilst also benefiting from quick and convenient access into central London.
Tanju Hussein, Associate Sales Director at Countryside Partnerships South comments: “We are delighted to have officially launched our new homes at Feature 17 in Walthamstow. This is a very exciting and up-and-coming area and is especially popular with young professionals looking for a quirky and trendy place to live, without the price tag of areas such as Shoreditch or Hackney. We saw high levels of interest during our launch at the weekend, so I recommend potential buyers to register their interest as soon as possible in order to avoid disappointment.”
A selection of the homes at Feature 17 are available with the London Help to Buy scheme. This allows potential purchasers to secure a home with just a 5% deposit, which the government will boost with a loan of up to 40% of the property value.
All the homes at the development offer stylish accommodation, with a high specification throughout. The one-bedroom apartments provide a spacious open plan living, kitchen and dining area, boasting access to a private balcony or terrace. The German made kitchens are well equipped, featuring contemporary stone worktops, with integrated appliances including a four-zone hob, electric oven, microwave, fridge/freezer, dishwasher and a free-standing washing machine/tumble drier. Master bedrooms are generously sized and bathrooms are sleek, featuring a white bath with a chrome bath filler and shower mixer.
Known for its underground music hub, quirky restaurants and independent retailers, E17 offers a range of entertainment opportunities. This includes the historic cinema on Hoe Street, which is now an arts venue, hosting live music, comedy, theatre and films, as well as providing a restaurant and cocktail bar. Other popular venues include God’s Own Junkyard, showcasing an impression collection of neon art, and Mother’s Ruin Gin Palace, a gin bar and distillery.
For a breath of fresh air, there is also plenty of open green space to enjoy in Walthamstow. This includes Epping Forest, with its 6,000 acres of open space and the newly transformed Walthamstow Wetlands, home to a host of wildlife.
Ideally located for commuters into London, Feature 17 is located within half a mile from Walthamstow Central which offers national rail, overground and underground services. Situated on the Victoria Line, residents can travel to King’s Cross in less than 15 minutes and Oxford Circus in 20 minutes. The development also benefits from excellent road links, with the A406 North Circular and the M11 nearby.
