Cobham Development Wins At Prestigious What House? Awards
Published On :
Premium developer Millgate won a highly acclaimed silver award at the ‘Oscars’ of the housebuilding industry – the What House? Awards 2017, last week. The company won this prestigious award for Best Interior Design for its flagship development, Knowle Hill Park in Cobham.
Launched in September last year, Knowle Hill Park was an instant success in Cobham, one of Britain’s most premier postcodes. The scheme was designed to create an opulent new development that reflected the prestige of its location in Surrey’s ‘Golden Triangle’. Knowle Hill Park comprises a collection of 22 apartments and seven houses, set behind grand gates in a secluded location surrounded by 45 acres of private woodland and parkland.
Working closely with Interior Designers, Alexander James Interiors, Millgate has showcased the apartments’ magnificent interior space
The What House? Judges commented:
“The design is luxurious. A huge hall leads into an amazing, mammoth room and Alexander James has overcome the design issues of the 48ft x 28ft super room by creating zones that blend together seamlessly maintaining the wow factor of the titanic room. The kitchen with the bespoke carpentry has the informal dining, while the 3m long Macassar ebony dining table that glows with the reflected light from the chandeliers will more than impress the friends at the golf club. Alexander James has made full use of layering of fabrics using velvets, linen and silk to create an award-winning apartment with personality. Naturally all the appliances are from Sub-Zero & Wolf, confirming nothing but the best for these apartments.”
The WhatHouse? Awards is the leading event for the UK new homes industry and took place in the Great Room of the Grosvenor House Hotel in London’s Park Lane. Upwards of 1,700 industry professionals were in attendance last week to witness the results of the 21 award categories. The Gala Luncheon was hosted by comedian Jack Whitehall, and the awards presentation was followed by an evening of celebrating in the Ballroom.
Jonathan Cranley, Sales and Marketing Director for Millgate commented: “We take great pride in creating homes of distinction and we feel confident that we surpassed ourselves at Knowle Hill Park. It is wonderful that the judging team at What House? have understood our vision and chosen us over some very strong contenders. “Knowle Hill Park is a prime example of combining experts in their field to produce a product that stands out at every level – we have combined modern, luxury living with the classic, timeless feel of a property that has matured alongside its surroundings.”
