Essex Homes Key ready for Christmas
Published On :
With less than 100 days left before Christmas what is topping your list to Santa this year? For many 1000’s of people in the UK, the most desirable thing is their own home and to have a place to call their own.
The Government’s Help To Buy scheme has been a roaring success in helping first-time buyers achieve this goal. Indeed, more than four out of five of the 170,000 homes purchased through the scheme in the five years to March 2018, were bought by first-time buyers according to a new Home Builders Federation report released this month[i].
Emma Hawkins, Sales Manager for Bellway comments: “Christmas is a wonderful time to be in a new home – it’s so exciting to be opening presents for the first time in your living room with your first ever Christmas tree; the drama of cooking an oversized turkey in the new oven and leaving mince pies and carrots out for Father Christmas and his reindeer.
“We don’t have a magic wand to make everyone’s Christmas dream come true but we do our very best to assist where we can. At Forest View in Colchester, we have a selection of the homes key ready and are offering some early Christmas cheer with up to £10,000 savings on selected new homes, to help buyers be in their home by Christmas.
The Coach Houses at Forest View are two-bedroom homes that feature open plan kitchen, living and dining areas. The master bedroom has an en suite bathroom and there is a contemporary family bathroom for the other bedroom.
Home owners at Forest View benefit from living in a development that is surrounded by wonderful parkland and open countryside. Once Christmas dinner is done then donning a coat and wellies for a stroll in the fresh air will be a great way to lose their slightly over stuffed feeling.
Ideal for families, there are a number of well-regarded schools in the area, including Bishop William Ward CE Primary in Great Horkesley and The Gilberd School. A new primary school will also be built as part of the development, making for a secure and swift walk for young pupils. Colchester Royal Grammar School and Colchester County High School for Girls are located just outside the town centre.
Residents will benefit from a selection of local shops half a mile away for essentials, while larger stores can be found less than five minutes’ drive away at Turner Rise Retail Park. Colchester town centre, with its many high street and independent retailers is also just a 10 minute drive away.
Leisure opportunities in and around the town are plentiful. Colchester Community Stadium, which is just half a mile from Forest View, is home to Colchester United FC, as well as regular live music and comedy events. There is a David Lloyd centre within easy walking distances of the development or a 10 minutes’ drive to Leisure World which has two swimming pools and a host of sports and fitness classes.
Commuting to London via the A12 takes around 45 minutes to the M25 while Stansted Airport is 40 minutes away via the A120. By train, journey times are approximately 30 minutes to Chelmsford, 50 minutes to Stratford (for London Docklands) and an hour to London Liverpool Street. Heading east from Colchester, train journey times are 20 minutes to Ipswich and an hour to Norwich.
Prices for the coach houses at Forest View, Kingswood Heath start from as little as £234,995. Further information can be found at www.bellway.co.uk or call 01206 853 629.
