German automakers fight to defend their turf from Chinese rivals

ThirdWay Group continues its commitment to helping tackle poverty in developing countries and the UK with the announcement of a new partnership between its charity venture, ThirdWay Trust, and educational charity, Sabre Education, who raise money to help all children succeed, by giving them the best possible early education.

The ThirdWay Trust was established in 2018, centred around the belief that good health and a good education are a child’s best chance of escaping poverty, both in the UK and in the developing world. The Trust is committed to giving vulnerable communities access to improved education, clean water and life-saving hygiene practices. The Trust was first launched in partnership with UK charity, Toilet Twinning, incorporating the charity’s unique “twinning” initiative across projects, and actively encouraged clients to twin their projects’ toilets enabling the build of safe, clean latrines in developing countries across the globe.

Toilet Twinning’s initiative resonated with the Trust and they were keen to further utilise the nature of their work in addition to the hundreds of projects they carry out each year. The charity has plans for significant growth in 2019, including the launch of their partnership with educational charity, Sabre Education, in April.

ThirdWay Trust will continue to raise funds through expanding the twinning concept to more office areas. Companies wishing to participate in the Trust’s twinning venture now have the option of Breakout Twinning, Boardroom Twinning and Office Furniture Twinning (through Tribe), alongside the existing Toilet Twinning offer. The new options allow companies to fund school furnishings, classrooms, kitchen facilities and school builds across Ghana. In addition, ThirdWay are currently exploring new initiatives to make improvements on home soil.

Jonathan Sweeney from ThirdWay Group explains how the new partnership follows on from the recent success of the trust’s links with the UK charity initiative Toilet Twinning:

“The ThirdWay Trust had an extremely successful first year working with Toilet Twinning, twinning 487 toilets through the charity and raising substantial funds through events and numerous internal and external campaigns. After “twinning” a client’s boardroom, which in-turn enabled the build of a classroom of a new school in Pakistan, we knew that this was the direction we wanted to go in when looking to increase our global impact in 2019. Whilst we still encourage toilet twinning and are fully committed to improving water hygiene in developing countries, we’re excited to have an additional partnership with Sabre Education who are committed to building better schools and improving education.”

Sabre Education works directly in Ghana to improve the futures of poor and marginalised children.
