TECHNOLOGY

An expert law firm has partnered with VIA, the business telephony and communications specialist, to improve how employees across its four offices talk to each other and share information. Attwaters Jameson Hill has deployed VIA Voice, a unified communications (UC) solution that completely replaces the need to operate a traditional telephone network.

The firm wanted to replace their outdated Lync-based platform from another supplier with VIA Voice, a more feature-rich solution that incorporates Lync’s successor Skype for Business. VIA Voice is hosted in the cloud and unites voice communication, instant messaging, email, video, and audio, across a variety of devices, such as landlines, smartphones, PCs, and tablets.

As a result, VIA Voice has helped Attwaters Jameson Hill to improve internal communications whilst also ensuring that calls can be efficiently transferred between the company’s four offices in Harlow, Loughton, Hertford and Ware. The workforce is also reaping the benefits from VIA Voice’s conferencing facility and document-sharing feature, allowing team members to share case information and legal documentation more efficiently and securely.

The law firm is also benefitting from an updated and more advanced call routing solution. Historically, Attwaters Jameson Hill deployed a single layer platform, which allowed callers to select only one option before being sent through to a contact. The new multi-layer call routing platform from VIA ensures callers are directed to the right person by providing a series of personalised options.

Robert Dean, IT Manager at Attwaters Jameson Hill, said: “We have been very impressed by the efficiency displaced by VIA’s team of experts during the installation process. It took less than a week from choosing our package to being fully operational, with no downtime, whilst also being allocated premium 0203 telephone numbers. VIA also visited our offices to deliver in-depth training so staff can utilise the full functionality of the innovative system.”

Alex Tebbs, Director at VIA, said: “Embedded within our company’s ethos is a commitment to delivering world class communications solutions that also provide fantastic value for money. At VIA we ensure that our UC platform is operating the most up-to-date functionality, this is why we upgraded each and everyone of our existing customers from Lync to Skype for Business as soon as we could.”
