Walthamstow has been voted as one of the top 10 places to live in London according to The Sunday Times’ Best Places to Live Guide 2017. Taking into account crime rates, house prices, school performance and local amenities, the town has been earmarked as a hipster hotspot. For house buyers keen to purchase in this up and coming area, East Thames is launching Atelier Place in the heart of Walthamstow on Saturday 8th April. Available for sale with shared ownership, East Thames is making home ownership in this fashionable district an affordable reality.

Atelier Place comprises a bespoke collection of 43 one and two bedroom contemporary apartments for shared ownership. Located in the London Borough of Waltham Forest, the development enjoys an excellent location, offering the best of East London and combining the convenience of city living with green spaces and a market town atmosphere.

Tony Harker, East Thames’ Director of Sales & Marketing comments: “Walthamstow is a very up and coming area and in the last few years has attracted lots of new businesses, from quirky coffee shops to local artisan markets. It has all the charm of other East London boroughs, such as neighbouring Hackney, without the hefty price tag. Our Atelier Place development is available with shared ownership so is ideal for young professionals that would like to live in a vibrant London location, for less.”

Each high-quality apartment has been designed with an excellent specification and boasts its own private outdoor area in the form of a balcony or terrace. Attention to detail is paramount, offering spacious, light filled homes with an open plan living and dining area. Tarkett rustic oak flooring has been used throughout the homes with wool carpets and contemporary fitted kitchens featuring integrated appliances including fridge/freezer, dishwasher and oven.

Walthamstow provides an array of shopping opportunities, from independently owned shops to high street favourites. The town is known for being home to the longest street market in Europe which is less than a mile from Atelier Place, as well as boasting plenty of artisan coffee shops, quirky bars and restaurants.

For entertainment, the area offers an independent cinema, Stow Film Lounge, which screens films in different locations throughout the borough, whilst the nearby Empire Cinema shows Hollywood blockbusters. Meanwhile, musicians and artists who have migrated to E17 provide a lively music and arts scene, with live performances every night of the week at a variety of different venues. Epping Forest, with its 6,000 acres of open space, is also nearby, as is the River Lea with its walking, running and cycling routes.

Atelier Place is ideally located for commuters, only half a mile from Blackhorse Road Overground and Underground Station on the Victoria Line, connecting to King’s Cross in less than 15 minutes and Oxford Circus in 20 minutes. Bus services are also excellent, taking passengers further into Walthamstow and central London.
