Londoners Take A Breath Of Fresh Air At Feature 17

According to a recent report commissioned by the Greater London Authority[1], The London Borough of Waltham Forest has a 26 per cent proportion of public open green space, making it one of the top five greenest borough’s in the capital. In addition, the report further revealed that that the impact on the average house price for homes within close proximity to open space is over £900 per year. Home hunters keen to reap these rewards and seek a haven from city living, should take a look at Countryside’s Feature 17 development in Walthamstow, E17, which is less than three miles from Walthamstow Wetlands, a new 211-hectare nature reserve.

Feature 17 comprises a contemporary collection of one, two and three-bedroom apartments in the heart of vibrant Wood Street, Walthamstow. The development is ideal for purchasers that would like to benefit from a well-connected location, whilst enjoying the abundant green space that the London Borough of Waltham Forest offers. Nearby Walthamstow Wetlands has recently opened to the public, boasting a 2km cycle path, a visitor centre and café. The fully operational reservoir site is host to a variety of wildlife and includes a unique swift tower to house nesting swifts and roosting bats, whilst the Grade II-listed Coppermill Tower offers a viewing platform to enjoy striking views of the capital.

Tanju Hussein, Associate Sales Director at Countryside Partnerships South comments: “Feature 17 offers the best of both worlds; residents can benefit from the connectivity and amenities of city living, without compromising when it comes to open green space. The opening of Walthamstow Wetlands to the public creates a diverse addition to the local area, providing an escape from the hustle and bustle of the capital. There will also be plenty of outdoor space within the development itself, including a brand-new park, play area and a basketball court to encourage the community to come together.”
