Specialist international payments partner moneycorp  has appointed global payments expert Francesco Giovanni Ghizzardi as its new Head of Payment Solutions. The appointment comes at a pivotal time as moneycorp continues to transform at pace and enhance its digital offering to serve evolving customer needs.

With the Covid-19 pandemic driving businesses to move online and engage in increasingly complex cross-border transactions, the need for bespoke international payment solutions has accelerated at pace. This will continue as business adapt to an increasingly global market.

Against this backdrop, Francesco Giovanni will play a pivotal role in ensuring moneycorp remains at the forefront of innovation in digital payments solutions. He will oversee responsibility for strengthening moneycorp’s Payments Solutions offering, which currently includes an online payments platform, API integration capabilities and multi-tier accounts that have a multi-currency receiving capacity, enabled by moneycorp’s pioneering multi-currency IBAN.

His role will be to harness new partnership opportunities, refine and launch state of the art technologies for SMEs and corporates, and deploy moneycorp’s global sales strategy, helping to grow moneycorp’s tech capabilities even further. Francesco Giovanni will also work to grow moneycorp’s Payments Solutions team, attracting talent to help the business increase its focus on best-in-class, innovative solutions.

Francesco Giovanni has a wealth of expertise driving technological innovation in the international payments space, with a focus on large-scale development opportunities and API technology. He previously held senior roles at Ebury and Cambridge Global Payments. Francesco Giovanni is well placed to drive forward digital innovation within moneycorp, and to meet businesses’ payment needs through tech-first solutions.
