PEPPERMINT TECHNOLOGY REVAMPS COMMUNICATIONS WITH VIA VOICE SOLUTION
Published On :
Peppermint Technology, the provider of specialist legal software, has overhauled its communications system to drive further efficiencies across its workforce and client relationships. The company has replaced its basic unified communications (UC) solution with VIA Voice so it can benefit from the additional functionality provided by the innovative platform.
VIA Voice is a fully hosted UC solution developed by VIA, the business telephony and communications specialist. The platform incorporates Skype for Business and operates over the Internet, completely replacing the need to have a traditional phone network. It allows employees to talk, instant message, email and video chat across a variety of devices, such as landlines, smartphones, PCs, and tablets, regardless of location.
For the past six years, Peppermint Technology had deployed a hosted Microsoft Lync communications platform, the predecessor to Skype for Business, with limited features. In a bid to update their internal processes, benefit from increased UC functionality and to reduce potential downtime, Peppermint Technology took the decision to replace their old solution with VIA Voice at the company’s headquarters in Nottingham.
Each of the team’s 70 employees were seamlessly transferred onto the new system with no downtime. Employees were provided with new numbers and received training on how to maximise the use of the platform. As a result, Peppermint Technology is now also benefitting from VIA Voice’s conferencing facility and document-sharing feature, which allows staff to share information and relevant documentation with their clients more securely and effectively.
As a part of the new platform, VIA has also installed its advanced call routing technology, which effectively directs incoming phone calls to the correct departments, increasing efficiency and enhancing the overall customer experience.
Andy Brown, Customer Support Manager at Peppermint Technology, said: “We were looking for an innovative and comprehensive UC solution that could improve the way our employees talk to each other as well as our clients, and VIA Voice has ticked all the boxes. We were keen to pick a solution that was both easy to install and manage and we have been impressed with VIA’s highly efficient support and maintenance services.”
Alex Tebbs, Director at VIA, said: “It is our objective to not only provide a market-leading platform for communications, but to develop additional functionality that benefits the whole office environment. By securing this business win from a competitor, we have demonstrated that VIA Voice is more than just a UC solution.”
