As National Bike Week[1] (10th – 18th June) approaches, rental specialists Folio London, is promoting the benefits of two wheels, particularly as it is a key attractions of its newly redeveloped site Sterling Place in Ealing, West London. Ealing is fast becoming a cycling hotspot, thanks to the ongoing commitment by campaign group EalingCycling[2] which, along with Bike Week, aims to promote cycling in the capital as a healthy, economical and efficient way of getting around the capital.
With Central London just nine miles from Sterling Place, and Chiswick Business Park and other thriving employment hubs within easy reach, renters are opting for Ealing over pricey neighbouring Chiswick, Putney and Hammersmith.
Lizzie Stevens, Director of Folio London, comments: “Sterling Place is located in such a vibrant part of London, with its café culture, excellent shopping and beautiful parkland. Being able to cycle into Central London is another real advantage that commuters will appreciate. Developments like Sterling Place enable professional singles and families alike who’ve been priced out of neighbouring areas, to benefit from all that Ealing has to offer.”
Sterling Place offers something for all renters, as the development includes a range of homes, from one bedroom apartments to four bedroom houses. Following a £1.6 million upgrade, the properties have been modernised, with new flooring, including brand new carpets to bedrooms and laminate wood in hallways and living areas, and thoughtful contemporary kitchens which include a range of built-in appliances. Crisp white bathroom suites featuring chrome fixtures and fittings complete the specification, appealing to renters looking for style and convenience west of the capital.
The development enjoys close proximity to Ealing Broadway and Westfield shopping centres, perfect for keen shoppers. Other nearby attractions include the River Thames Path, great for a leisurely stroll or cycle, while nearby Syon Park, and the Royal Botanic Gardens at Kew are ideal for lovers of green space.
For renters not yet ready to saddle up, Sterling Place has easy access to stations; South Ealing Underground provides connections via the Piccadilly Line into central London, while Kew Bridge railway station is around a 15 minute walk and provides a direct service into London Waterloo in less than 30 minutes. The M4 is half a mile away and for international travellers, Heathrow Airport is just ten miles from the development.
