LIFESTYLE

Homebuyers in Britain, are willing to pay 21% more to live in the countryside, according to new research[1]. The study found that 57% of those surveyed identified a better quality of life as the top reason for moving out of the city. House hunters looking to escape the city in favour of traditional countryside living, should consider looking to Bellway Homes’ new development, Solomon’s Seal. Nestled in the West Sussex village of Broadbridge Heath, this collection of homes provides a haven for buyers who want to enjoy rural lifestyle with a touch of urban living.

Solomon’s Seal is collection of two, three, four and five-bedroom homes that will provide the perfect retreat for a wide buyer type from first time buyers and second steppers to families and downsizers. The rural location of this development offers uncompromising access to a range of amenities set within picturesque countryside, whilst retaining the relaxed community feel that is sought-after in a desirable English village. From the high-street shops, cafes, restaurants and weekly local farmers’ market of nearby Horsham, to parks, golf courses and leisure facilities on offer within two miles of home, the West Sussex village caters for all.

Head of Sales for Bellway Homes South London, Nicky Chapman, comments: “No matter what stage of life, whether you’re getting onto the ladder for the first time, moving up into something bigger, or downsizing, homebuyers searching for a property in an attractive rural setting won’t be disappointed at Solomon’s Seal. There are a huge number of amenities for residents to take advantage of, in a beautiful location. The contemporary homes we are providing at the development are perfectly complemented by the countryside surroundings, without being isolated.”

The homes at Solomon’s Seal are offered in a variety of styles and finished to the highest standards. Each property enjoys a quality specification and embraces modern design features. Most properties will have either a garage or off-street parking, and all have turfed front and rear gardens.

A great example of the homes available is The Juniper, a three-bedroom linked home featuring an open-plan kitchen and dining area, with a separate utility room and French doors opening onto the rear garden. The kitchen is complemented by integrated appliances and a range of soft-close units, and a separate dual-aspect living room. Upstairs offers a master bedroom with fitted wardrobes and en suite shower room, plus two further bedrooms and a family bathroom equipped with Roca sanitaryware, chrome-finish heated towel rails and fully-tiled walls.

Broadbridge Heath village offers great leisure facilities, including a recreation ground and several play areas, as well as tennis, cricket and football clubs. Broadbridge Heath Leisure Centre on Wickhurst Lane has an athletics track, a football pitch, sports courts, an exercise studio and a gym, while the nearest swimming pool is at The Pavilions in the Park, in Horsham.

For shopping essentials, a convenience store is located a short walk from these new homes, while a Tesco superstore can be found five minutes’ drive away. Horsham town centre, around two miles to the east, has two shopping malls – Swan Walk and The Forum – as well as a selection of chain and independent stores along West Street, East Street and the Carfax, where a twice-weekly market also takes place.

Commuters needn’t feel disconnected either; Horsham railway station is just two miles from Solomon’s Seal, and from there frequent services operate to Gatwick Airport (15 minutes), Clapham Junction (40 minutes) and London Victoria (50 minutes). Major roads are easily accessible from the development include the A281 (for Guildford, Horsham and Brighton), the A264 (for Horsham, Gatwick Airport, East Grinstead and Royal Tunbridge Wells), and the A24 for Worthing to the south and Dorking, Epsom and London to the north.
