VIA, the business telephony and communications specialist, has secured a contract to design and deploy a bespoke unified communications (UC) solution for Valutrades Limited, the Forex and CFD broker. The platform will seamlessly integrate with the financial organisation’s CRM in a move designed to achieve significant cost savings by reducing the time it takes to make calls.

In a bid to completely modernise its communications model, which previously consisted of a basic telephone system, Valutrades has instructed VIA to deploy its fully-managed and hosted UC platform. VIA Voice incorporates Skype for Business and operates over the Internet, entirely replacing the need to have a traditional phone network. It allows employees to talk, instant message, email and video chat across a variety of devices, such as landlines, smartphones, PCs, and tablets, regardless of location.

During the installation process, VIA will tailor its product to enable full integration with Valutrades’ CRM platform, provided by HubSpot. This will ensure the company can streamline how it manages its client relationships and communications. As a result, Valutrades employees will now be able to directly call clients via a button on their CRM platform, saving the agent approximately 30 seconds per every call made, driving increased accessibility and efficiency.

As part of the agreement, VIA will also automatically store every call made by Valutrades’ employees, which can then be accessed and played back through the communication specialists’ online management portal. This allows Valutrades to fully comply with the latest call recording regulations, including MiFID II, set out by the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA).

Each of Valutrades’ employees based from its London office in Old Broad Street will move across to VIA Voice, as well as the company’s international agents in Brazil, Cyprus, France, Germany, Portugal and Spain. In addition, VIA will issue staff with Jabra Pro 930 headsets so they can move freely around the office when making calls.

Graeme Watkins, CEO of Valutrades, said: “VIA Voice is a fantastic product that will vastly improve how our team communicates with one other, as well as our clients. By integrating this solution with our CRM, VIA will help us to make substantial time and cost savings. Thirty seconds per call doesn’t sound like a great deal, but when you have an office full of employees each making up to 50 calls per day, it really does make a notable difference.”

Alex Tebbs, Director at VIA, said: “This significant contract win illustrates how we can take our portfolio of world-class communications products and mould them to fit the requirements of any business. Valutrades will also be able to take advantage of new functionality within our online portal. By using VIA Data Query, their team will be able to export call data from our platform and upload it into their own CRM, allowing them to create more detailed reports and analysis.”
