The programmatic specialist appoints Fern Potter and Simon Reed into key senior positions as its steep growth trajectory continues

multilocal, the supply-side experts, has announced the appointment of two new senior members of staff as demand for its services continues to ramp up worldwide.

Simon Reed joins as Chief Revenue Officer (CRO) and will focus on introducing the multilocal service to new advertisers and agencies in more markets as it continues to scale. He will be an integral partner to clients and agencies as multilocal continues to offer best-in-class services levels, and as the team continues to establish its leadership in the supply side of programmatic advertising, with a special focus on curation.

With two decades in the industry, Simon was most recently Chief Commercial Officer at MOBKOI, where he helped to drive the mobile advertising company’s success globally; delivering record revenue and working across a number of locations around the globe. Prior to this, he was Commercial Director for Kelkoo Group, Head of Trading at Hearst Magazines, Aol Advertising, and at Microsoft. He also spent many years in the media agency world, working on major campaigns for household name clients.

He says: “I’m delighted to join multilocal’s growing team, having long shared the same vision as its founders; I am as determined as they are to build the best digital media business in the market, powered by the best people. We are completely focused on the end goal of delivering programmatic solutions in the most intelligent ways for our partners.”

Fern Potter also joins as VP of Product and Business Strategy to help scale multilocal’s products and services to meet the demands of a dynamic industry whilst delivering value across the supply chain. She will develop partnerships with publishers, data providers, brands and agencies; taking a cohesive, agile and strategic approach in order to build on the already market-leading customer service, people and platforms, for continued success.

Having spent over 15 years in media, advertising and technology – ten of which were spent building and developing people, technology and services within programmatic – Fern brings both a wealth of experience and depth of knowledge. Fern created the programmatic buying unit (PBU) at Mediacom and, as global programmatic and digital director at Carat, she worked with a range of household name clients. She was also Managing Director at Neo@Mindshare, helping to develop people whilst leading a programmatic and client solutions focussed business, and CSO at FCB/Six where she successfully brought technology upstream in the creative process.

She says: “I’m excited to help grow and develop a successful business as part of the multilocal media family – including new market entries and the creation of a product council to ensure that, as a technology and service provider, we remain at the forefront; responding to customers’ changing needs and requirements in this fast moving industry.”

On these recent hires, James Leaver, multilocal CEO, comments: “We are thrilled to welcome more leading talent to the business. Having both Fern and Simon join our growing team is a statement of intent for us as we look ahead to 2023. Strategic thinkers and business leaders with proven track records of success, both Simon and Fern are able to put ideas into action. We remain entirely committed to simplifying the digital landscape and turbocharging efficiency and impact for our partners worldwide and I look forward to working with them on this. Exciting times lie ahead!”
